News: Morning Rotary seeks host families for foreign students

Four members of the Fond du Lac Morning Rotary traveled to West Bend to help interview the 24 applicants for next year’s youth exchange.
They were Michael and Joyce Mann, district coordinators, Carina Baier, Fond du Lac High School exchange student from Austria, and Rev. Jerry Schrankler, youth chairman.
The interviews try to find students with maturity and good scholastic achievements who will make good ambassadors from the United States to other countries. Students interested in a year of adventure and learning in 2010 are encouraged to apply bv next spring.
Rotary is also looking for a third family to host this year’s female student or next year’s male student. To find out more about hosting or going overseas, call Schrankler at 924-3776.
