News: Rotary seeks host families for student

Morning Rotary is seeking three families to share in hosting a male student from Germany during the 2009-10 academic year.

The Rotary student will arrive at the end of August and attend Fond du Lac High School.
The families do not have to be involved with Rotary in order to be a host family. Those who are interested or have questions may contact the Rev. Jerry Schrankler, Rotary Youth chairman, at 924-3776.

This year's student is Carina Baier from Austria. She has just moved to her third host family. She will remain with that family until she goes home to Austria in July.

Rotary also sends American youth overseas for a year of study and growth abroad. The Morning Club recently sent Fond du Lac youths to countries as varied as France and Africa. A student can go before or the year of graduation.

Information is available on the Web site for Rotary Youth Exchange RYE. Applications for the summer of 2010 must be in by September. Those interested may contact Schrankler.
